Jens was born on the 8th of October 1987 and everybody who knew him will agree that he was amazing- one of the most wonderful people we were ever allowed to meet. He had two older sisters and one younger brother. His home meant a lot to him where he lived along with his mum and his brother and he enjoyed doing jobs around the house whether it was decorating, gardening or even building his own furniture from scratch. He could do it all. Jens was so talented. Whatever idea he got in his head he had the gift to make it happen. We will never forget when Jens was only five years old and he and one of his best friends Jan made cake out of sand and he actually managed to sell them to people from the village he and his family stayed in. He had a fantastic imagination and we often couldnt believe what great ideas he came up with. Jens loved his family and whenever any of us needed a hand with anything he was there to help out. you could always turn to him he would never let you down. His nieces and nephew must have spent hours up in his room questioning him about his pets and he´d patiently answer them all. Jens loved exotic things, his pets were two scorpions, a turtle called Mock and instead of planting ordinary flowers or plants he went for palm trees instead, he was so proud of them. his second family were his friends. He had so many, too many to mention them all but his best and closest friends were Jan and Ralf. The three of them grew up together and knew eachother inside out. They were like triplets and spent pretty much all their time together. His door was always open to them and all his other friends too. Everybody loved Jens and enjoyed being around him. He had a great sense of humour and was always up for a laugh and he had such a cute, cheeky smile- probably the nicest one we have ever seen. you could never stay mad at him for long there was just that something special about him. You would just have to laugh and make up with him. He was a star and just amazing. God must have thought so too because when he needed an angel on the 23rd of May 2008 he called up our Jens to heaven after there was fire up in his room. It was a great shock and we still can´t believe he isn`t down here with us anymore. Not a single day passes where we dont think of him and wish we could still see that cheeky smile of his. We miss him more than words could possibly describe and we ask ourselves why our 20 year old son, brother, uncle, friend had to go but we know he is still with us. We will see him again one day and until then he is looking down on us from heaven and taking care of us. Jens is an angel now, our angel!
